Genius Funds Case 1 and Genius Funds Case 2.
Vancouver – The executive director of the British Columbia Securities Commission has issued a temporary order against Genius Funds (a.k.a. Genius Investments), and is alleging in a notice of hearing that the Cyprus-based company has breached various securities laws.
The executive director issued the temporary order after BCSC staff was alerted that a Vernon-area individual had recently wired $25,000 to the company.
The order temporarily prohibits Genius Funds from trading in any securities in B.C. It also prohibits Genius Funds from engaging in any investor relations activities in the province.
The notice says Genius Funds states that it offers one investment fund that makes payments of up to 1.9 per cent daily, and a second fund that makes payments of up to nine per cent weekly. In addition, the notice says Genius Funds states that it offers the Genius High-Yield Deposit Account that earns depositors interest between 14 per cent and 25 per cent monthly.
The notice alleges Genius Funds is making misrepresentations to investors because it offers a rate of return that is impossible to earn consistently through legal means......

Genius Funds wasn't aware of the rules in British Columbia for they operate in 120 countries around the world. It's hard for them to follow jurisdiction in provinces of 120 countries. It may appear that Genius Funds will stop serving British Columbia for this matter. This may not be a downfall for Genius Funds for they are planning to register their business in SEC.
Let's watch out for more updates of Genius Funds but I believe that they will never scam people. At least for now..
Well, what do you expect with HYIPs anyways. High rate returns are only for insane amounts of money and are exclusive to an elite group of people unfortunately.
for 25k, I mean, really, there are so many other ways to invest. 25k to an online account with people you don't even see. that baffles me.
Wow...I invested $45k in the stock market in 2008 and lost every penny.
People should stop worrying about Genius Funds and worry about what's going on next door. There are infinitely more scams taking place right before your eyes. Don't worry about a company that has never ripped off one single investor in 2 years.
Can't say that for the financial institutions.
Yes, you are right, the us government has orchestrated the largest robbery of the people of the world, and stealing over 10 trillion of American citizen's money. While, I am mad too, as I also invest in stocks, and bad investigations into hyip programs leads me to believe something is not right.
I have a friend who has money in this fund, and he has not lost a dime. In addition, he recieves his dividends on time. The fund has been around since 2006 and has not ripped off anyone yet. Only invest what you can afford to lose. We should be more concerned about the rip offs on wallstreet, right in front of our eyes...
Genius funds needs their blessing like another hole in the head.Where do you think these finance institutions invest your annual 1.5% savings account. These wall street/financial institutional criminals ripped a lung out of us under the all seeing toothless CSEC +USSEC, what good did that do? anyone besides wall street get their losses back? We're better off with informed forums such as this to take our calculated chances wherever we see an opportunity, here or abroad. I made more in month with genius funds than the last 10 years in a SA. Nothing really good lasts forever, so take what you can and watch for the next deal!Or not and make a negative return on savings at your local neighborhood branch.
Fort the past 4 weeks I have having trouble to receive the withdrawals that I requested with Genius Funds. It seems they no longer exist. Everytime they reply my e-mail they give a foolish excuse. They introduce a new program to rip off more people money. Good Luck to all of you who still want to invest in this program
I'm afraid you are right, but it's not going to change much. Remember 12DailyPro and how that was going to change the HYIP scene forever? Well here we are again. The secret is don't use your own money! There is plenty of free money around to make it work and I for one will be back at it again.
I invested a sum of money too and for the first time in 3months genius didn't pay me.I am lucky I had not wired money out last week(about 5k)I had a problem with the transfer reminding me once again that every disapointment is indeed a blessing. Genius has packed off. That is the truth because they no longer reply to emails.
Is there any legal action that can be taken against Genius Funds or report to Cyprus Authorities,
they surely have to be prevented from cheating others like they did to us.
